Adrian J.
Richardson
Jun 16, 1963 — Mar 3, 2018
Adrian Juanea Richardson was born June 16, 1954 to Jesse Murrell, Jr. and Doris J. Richardson in Kansas City, Missouri. At the age of fifty-four, she earned her wings and was called home on March 3, 2018. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Murrell, Jr.; two sisters, Valory Foster and Sandra Soward; and one niece, Shawntelle Richardson.
Adrian accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Genesis Baptist Church until her health declined.
Adrian, known to most as "Nay-Nay", was diagnosed with Lupus at an early age. Because of her illness she attended R.J. Delano and later attended D.A. Holmes Elementary. She became their sixth grade class president and attended many trips with the student counsel. Adrian was a Mighty Central Blue Eagle, graduating with the class of 1981, where she received a standing ovation after having a stroke just months before graduation. She furthered her education at Penn Valley Community College after her health improved.
Adrian was employed by the Kansas City Public School District as a kitchen aide. Her proudest moment was when she worked for Resolution Trust Corp (RTC) from 1989-1995.
Adrian was so full of life. You could always depend on her to snap a photo as she yells her famous, "Hey" or "Oooh that's cute!" Even with her disability she loved to dance and sing. She was always up on the latest music and style, never missing a beat.
To cherish her memory she leaves: her mother, Doris J. Richardson of KCMO; three nephews, Gregory Soward and Joshua Soward both of KCMO and William Foster II of Muskogee, OK; one niece, Anjanette Richardson of KCMO; God-sister, Dawn L. Bradford and a host of uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
