Albert Murray, Jr., 79, was born December 2, 1936, in Mound Bayou, Mississippi to Albert Murray, Sr. and Van Veola Armstead.He was preceded in death by both parents, and his brothers Henry and Willie Murray. Albert was educated in the public schools of Mound Bayou, Mississippi.He worked as a dump truck driver and also shared a window washing business with his brother Willie, before working as a janitor at Shade Foods from which he retired. Albert was a proud man with a strong work ethic who cared deeply about his family. He was always there to help anyone who asked. He loved the sport of boxing and was also known to have a 16oz bottle of Coca Cola with him wherever he went. Albert departed this life on August 20, 2016.He will be sorely missed. He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Albert Murray III; daughter, Terry Murray; brother, Ellie Watson; sister, Lillie Lewis; granddaughters, Amina and Tyra Murray; a host of other relative and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 25, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel.
