Alice Pearl Guillory, 71, KCMO, passed away on September 10, 2017 at Serenity Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. She was born to the union of Tommie and Onnie Hatchett on February 11, 1946. Her parents and brothers, Ira Hatchett, Eddie Hatchett, Earl Hatchett and Bob Hatchett all preceded her in death. Alice was a lifelong area resident of Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Langston University in Chickasha. Oklahoma and received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Avila University in 1974. She was a member of the Sigma Gamma RHO Sorority. Alice was an elementary school teacher for many years before she decided on a career change as a social worker supervisor for the State of Missouri. She retired in 2003 due to health issues. Alice was united in marriage to Virgil Guillory on September 22, 1988. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also took up the hobby of knitting and enjoyed catalog ordering. Alice leaves to cherish her memory: her husband of nearly 29 years, Virgil Guillory; three children, Felicia Hatchett, Tracy Williams (Michael) and Sean Hollowell (Deshonna); one brother, Tommy Hatchett, Jr. (Frances); three sisters, Joyce Brown (Earlie), Betty Smith (Edward) and Debbie Campbell (Brett); eight grandchildren, Tierra, Jessica, Tiffany (Frank), Ashawna, Kelvin Jr. (Kayla), Darriyun, Dariya and Sydney; eight great grandchildren, Taylor, Donnie III, Jalin, Myla, Rhian, Avery, Karter and Brooklynn; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services Saturday, September 16, 2:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E.
