Allan
Wilborn
May 27, 1962 — Jan 14, 2018
Allan Bernard Wilborn, 55, May 27, 1962 in Kansas City, Missouri to Leslie A. Wilborn, Jr. and Gladys Wilborn. He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie A. Wilborn, Jr; wife, Leawanda Wilborn, and both paternal and maternal grandparents.
Affectionately known as "Boo", Allan attended the Kansas City public schools. After graduating from Southwest High School in 1980, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and was stationed in San Diego, California. He met the love of his life, Leawanda, and they married shortly thereafter. The couple moved to Kansas City in the late 1980's and to their union was born a son, Allan Jr. and Ashlee.
While living in Kansas City, Allan was employed with Safety Flare. He attended Love United Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Erick Vassol. He could be seen sporting his white suit on any given Sunday. He enjoyed telling jokes and was a loud talker with the personality to match.
Together they missed the California life and relocated back to San Diego, where Allan would reside over the last twenty-five years. There he was employed as an over the road truck driver for Grainger Truck Company until his health started to decline. Allan departed this life on January 14, 2018. He will be missed but never forgotten.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Allan B. Wilborn, Jr. (Janika); daughter, Ashlee Wilborn; mother, Gladys Wilborn; brother, Leslie G. Wilborn III (Rhonda); sisters, Regina K. Shockley (Timothy) and Pamela Zewalk; grandsons, Jacob and Eli; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
