Almettia Louise Goulden, daughter of Bernell and Rosa Lea Goulden, was born on April 20, 1960, in Centreville, Mississippi. She was the eldest daughter and the third child born to this union, and one half-brother.
Her father, Bernell Goulden, Sr; mother, Rosa Lea Goulden; grandfathers, Willie Goulden and Scott Williams; grandmothers, Rosie Mae Daniels and Almettia Goulden; three brothers, Johnnie Goulden, Sr., Calvin Goulden, and Bernell Goulden, Jr.; two sisters, Terri N. Boston and Gladys M. Everette; two aunts Eunice Daniels and Hanna Raymond (A.J. Raymond), also uncles Ezera Raymond, Sr. and Henry Taplin, as well as multiple uncles on the Gaulden (Goulden) branch of the family tree preceded her in death.
Almettia was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and loyal friend. She gave her life to Christ at a young age and was baptized at Park Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO.
Almettia was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri School District, was a graduate of Central High school. She worked as ab Accounts Receivable Representative for Parallon until her medical retirement.
She loved crafting, gardening, creating flower arrangements, music, spending time with her grandkids, having holiday events for the kids in the family, especially the special Christmas Eve celebration where she made her son, daughter-in-love, and grandchildren open their new pajamas.
Almettia took part in every major life event of her family's, often documenting the moments with pictures, creating flower arrangements, or special decorations with her gift for creating beautiful pieces in her crafting room.
To keep her memory alive, she leaves a legacy in her devoted child: Jamore Goulden, Sr. (Stacy) of Grain Valley, MO; Brothers Robert Goulden, Sr. (Rochelle) of Grandview, MO and Darren McPike(Suzanne) of Atlanta, GA, one sister-in -love Dana Goulden(Calvin) of Kansas City, MO; four grandchildren, Armon, Jamore Jr. "Million", Justice, and Trinity of Grain Valley, MO; Her special friend Marvin L. Durant of Kansas City, MO, an uncle, aunts, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
