Obituary

Alonzo Eugene Ashley, Jr., 'A.J.', 27, was born November 28, 1989 in Kansas City, Missouri to Kimberley Williams and Alonzo 'Munch' Ashley, Sr. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Tommy Williams; uncle, Keith 'Keithy' Williams and cousins, Eugene 'Geno' Roberts and Terrion 'T-Nutty' Carter. Alonzo was a member of This Rock Christian Tabernacle, where at a young age he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized. A.J. was educated in the Kansas City School District and attended Westport High School. A.J. shared a special bond with his dogs Stacks, Diamond and Suwoo. He had a passion for drawing and loved to eat. He looked forward to Sunday dinners with his jewels, both of his grandmothers Teresa Williams and LuRue Ashley. A.J. had a good heart and a beautiful smile that warmed everyone's heart. He was also crazy about kids; if you needed a babysitter, he was there. Alonzo departed this earthly life on February 11, 2017. His memory will live on in the lives of all whose heart he touched. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Kimberley Williams (Brian); father, Alonzo Ashley, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Dan and LuRue Ashley, Jr.; maternal grandparents, George 'Monroe' Wilson and Teresa Williams; brothers, Lonzo Ashley and Lonzell Ashley; uncles, Tommy Williams and Bryan Ashley; aunt, Crystal Courtney (Shawn); God-mother, Chrystal Roland; God-sister, Ayreone Alexander; special cousin/nephew, Cavazion 'Vossie' Williams; special cousin/sister, Carvorggia 'Shae' Brown; fiancé, Raymonda Hill; stepchildren, Ramyah, DeAndre and Paul; best friend, Katheryne 'Kat' Davis and a host of other relatives and friends.
