Alvertis (AL) Barbee was born on July 12, 1948 to Jeff Sr. and Annie Mae Barbee.

After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States

Army, where he served until he was injured in combat and

awarded the Purple Heart and various other metals of honor. He

was also a standing member of the American Legion.

After becoming a disabled veteran, he continued to serve his

country by continuing work with the military in a civilian

capacity, while also going to college to pursue and obtain his BA

degree and other certifications from various other colleges.

He departed this life stubbornly on May 28,2025.

He leaves to mourn his wife of 26 years Dolores (Pledger) Barbee

and 3 daughters, Angelus Karee Barbee, Alyssa L. Barbee, and

Deeanna R. Barbee

He's preceeded in death by multiple brothers and sisters, and his

surviving siblings Fannie (Larry) Jackson, Albert (Jacqueline)

Barbee and Cecelia (Charles) Shepherd.

He's also survived by 7 grandchildren and 18 grandchildren.
