Andre Dion Whitley, age 59 of Columbia, MO passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 5, 2023 at his home.

He was born on April 13, 1964 in Kansas City, the son of the late Cecil and Lorene (Robinson) Whitley.

He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Lorene Whitley, siblings Cecil Whitley Jr., Jerome Whitley, Tracey Whitley, Yolanda Washington, and Teresa Green.

Andre graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, MO. He was employed at various factories including OTSCON, Kraft-Columbia Foods and was currently employed at Aurora Organic Dairy as a supervisor.

Andre was a happy, loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a member of Shiloh Christian Worship Center. Andre was a talented tradesman in many different areas, teaching his children automotive skills, carpentry skills etc. There wasn't anything he could not make or fix.

Andre was a jokester who enjoyed comedies and jazz concerts. He was also the B-B-Q Master and great cook. His greatest love and most enjoyment in life was with his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends.

Andre is survived by his wife Sheila Whitley of Columbia; sons Audric (Tiana) Drake of Columbia, MO., Andre Whitley Jr. of Kansas City, MO; sisters Regina (Bruce) Landry, Pamela Whitley-Inman; and brother Dwayne Whitley, all of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren Audric Drake Jr., Aniya Drake; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
