Annie L. Bradley, 88, was born May 21, 1930 in Doddsville, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abner and Lucille Jenkins; husband, Leon Bradley; sons, Theodore Bradley, Alfred Bradley and Stanley Bradley; daughter, Lizzie Allison; granddaughter, Monique Smith; great grandson, Benjamin Watson, Jr; four brothers and five sisters.
Annie gave her life to Christ at an early age and remained faithful throughout her life. She was previously a member of Paradise Missionary Baptist Church.
Annie was joined in holy matrimony to the late Leon Bradley on August 29, 1948 before moving to Kansas City in December 1950. She was employed at K.U. Medical Center for twenty-two years, retiring in 1992 with great honor.
"Ma Bradley", as she was affectionately known by others, was a mother to all who knew her. She was respected and loved by many people. Annie was a God fearing woman who loved the Lord and instilled in her children the love of God by way of precept and example. She also taught the importance of strong family values. Her love was genuine and "Ma Bradley" will be greatly missed.
Sunset came for Annie L. Bradley on March 27, 2019 at the Kansas City Hospice House.
She leaves a legacy of love to her children: six sons, Leon Bradley, Jr. (Stacia), Charles Bradley, Oliver Bradley (Cindy), Jessie Bradley (Rebecca), Carl Bradley and Phillip Bradley (Isabel); four daughters, Debbie Bradley, Janice Culbert, Carolyn Smith and Lisa Conley (Leonard); two sisters, Mary Brown and Ollie Duncan; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services Saturday, April 6, 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
