Obituary

Antonio A. Arbelo IV, 54 of Kansas City, MO passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021. Antonio "Big Tony" "Bugaloo" Arbelo IV was born on September 14, 1966, in Topeka, KS, to Doris Wilson and Antonio Arbelo, lll. Tony grew up in Kansas City, MO. He attended East High School and later went on to Job Corps in Utah. Soon after, he enlisted in the US NAVY in February of 1985. He later spent more than 21 years at the Water Services Department of Kansas City and most recently worked at Alpha Pointe for the last five years. Tony was a member of the Prince Hall Free Mason Lodge of Kansas City, KS. He was also a faithful believer in the word of God. Those who knew Tony will agree that he was the funniest person. No matter where he landed, he left a mark with his humorous presence and like-able personality. He lit up every room he was in, even if it was a room full of strangers. His jokes had the ability of turning your greyest day colorful. His most impactful teachings included the importance of respect and not living a life full of fear. Tony never let any impediment stop him from achieving a fulfilling life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Wilson, father, Antonio Arbelo III, brother, Antonio "Bam" Collier and son, Jeffery Arbelo. Tony leaves behind many family members who loved and cherished him. He is survived by two sisters, Nadia Arbelo and Victoria Arbelo, a brother, Steffon Jones, three children, Antonio "Lil Tony" Arbelo V, Desiree Arbelo, and Tamika Robinson, grandchildren Ka'Mara Arbelo, Taveon Arbelo, Ronald Arbelo, Antonio Arbelo VI, Yasiel Arbelo, Osiel Arbelo, Zy'Aire Arbelo, Corey Moore, and Ta'Mia Moore. The Arbelo family feels it is crucial to acknowledge the many friends that Tony had during his life. We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to these friends whom he shared his life, laughter, a million random phone calls a day, and memories with. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment Private.
