Arnett D.
Kelley
Aug 8, 1975 — Dec 5, 2016
Arnett D. Kelley, 41, passed away on December 5, 2016 He was born August 8, 1975 to Albert Bradford III and Tracey (Kelley) Bradford. He was the eldest of their three children. Arnett was preceded to heaven by his father, Albert Bradford III and his nephew, Arnett D. Kelley II. Arnett attended Westport High School before graduating from Job Corp in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of seventeen. He furthered his education at I.T.T. Technical Institute where he studied Electrical Engineering. He would have been receiving his Associates degree in the Engineering in the spring. Arnett worked with C & W Services at Amazon in Lenexa, Kansas as a shift leader in Electrical Maintenance. Arnett was intelligent, active, quirky, and funny. He was mindful of others, sweet, respectful, and always willing to help. He excelled in everything he did or wanted to do, a characteristic that came from the upbringing of his father and the sibling rivalry between him and his siblings. It was always a loving and fun filled battle as to who was best of the three. It was something that they laughed about constantly. There was nothing that could come between the 'Kelley Klan' and Lord help anyone that tried. Arnett would do anything for them and they were the same towards him. He would ride by his brother's to see if he was outside and visit so as not to be a bother, but then most times he would just show up and they'd end up staying the entire day or night together doing who knows what and sleeping on the floor like kids. Arnett would sneak up on his sister at QuikTrip or he would drop in on her anytime and wreak havoc on the girls (CeArra and ChaLise) and take a nap on her couch or floor. His demeanor when speaking with the girls on life, school, and especially boys earned him the name 'Serious George!' Those subjects he remained unmovable on for all his nieces, nephews, and even his cousins. Arnett wanted the best for his family and expected nothing less. You could always count on Arnett to do anything you asked but, you would have to be extremely careful with him fixing anything. Oh, it would be fixed (to his standard), it would be functional (to his standard), and it would have some parts missing (to his standard). He always curiously tinkered with any and everything from rebuilding a big wheel (so he could go faster), to rebuilding a bike (so it could jump higher one the ramp he built) because he was the next 'Evil Kenevil', to letting his brother 'Baby Boy' bleed from a cut so that he could keep looking at his blood and how it changed under his 'microscope'. Even as a youngster (5 years old) he was adventurous. He talked his sister into running away from home with him because he was whipped and put on punishment. He could do no wrong in his siblings eyes and they definitely could do no wrong in his. He loved his family! He has left this earthly life to watch over his mother, Tracey Bradford; brother, Albert 'A.J.' Kelley; sister, Chaunda L. Kelley); three nephews, Albert '(A.J. Buddha', JaiVen, and Aden; four nieces, CeArra, YaKira, ChaLise, and JaiMia; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 10, 11:00 a.m. at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
