Arthur Milton Garnett, 84, KCMO, passed away on November 8, 2016. He was born January 27, 1932 in Carrollton, Missouri to William H. Garnett and Hallie Oliver Garnett. He was one of ten children born to this union. His parents and eight siblings, William H. Garnett, Jr., James Garnett, Wanda Walker, Oneida Ruby, Mayme Pearson, Joann Morgan, Anna Garnett and Ella Garnett preceded him death. Arthur attended school in Carrollton until the family relocated to Kansas City, Kansas. He then attended Sumner High School where he met Ms. Leola M. Arnold. They were married on April 24, 1951 and to this union three children were born, Linda, Maurice and Vaughn. He later married Bernice Dottrey and Barbara Pettus. Arthur worked for Trans World Airlines as an engineer until he retired. After retirement he worked part time for the Hickman Mills School District. Arthur was a member of Highland Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor John Jones. He leaves to cherish his memory: two sons, Maurice Garnett (Paulette) and Vaughn Garnett; one daughter, Linda Hill (Henderson); one sister, Doris Choate of Compton, CA; one sister-in-law, Ardena Garnett; special friend, Shirley Saunders; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 19, 11:00 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church, with Masonic services at 10:15 a.m. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Services conducted by Duane E.
