Barbara Ann Taylor McDonald, 71, departed this life on August 14, 2019. She was born on March 12, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas to L.C. and Ethel (Davis) Taylor. Her father and a brother, Reginald Taylor preceded her in death.

Barbara attended public schools and graduated from Central high School in 1966.

Barbara was employed at Hallmark Cards for thirty-seven years until she retired. After retiring she worked at H.R. Block for twenty-five years until her passing.

Barbara loved spending time with her family, friends and co-workers. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and crafting. She was devoted wife to her husband Johnnie McDonald of thirty-five years and a loving grandmother to her grandchildren.

Barbara leaves to cherish her loving memory: her loving husband, Johnnie McDonald; one son, Terrell Withers (Diamond) and one daughter, Tereye Taylor; her mother, Ethel Taylor; one brother, Artie Taylor; three sisters, Karen Taylor, Yasmin Taylor Matthews (Melvin) and Lisa Taylor Garlington (Stanley); seven grandchildren, Yasmin Ratliff, Sy'Mia Burrell, Terrell Withers, Jaicee Withers, Tereye Withers, Diamond Withers, and Alisa Withers; special nephew, Reginald Maxwell; two special cousins, Johnny Taylor and Renese Drake; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other family and friends.

Funeral services Friday, August 23, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
