Barrett Kevin Nichols, 63, passed away on August 4, 2018 at the Kansas City Hospice House. He was born August 16, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri to Barrett and Katherine Nichols. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as Toya Nichols, Eugene Nichols and Marcus Nichols.
"Boo", as he was lovingly known, was educated in the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri and was a graduate of Manual High School. He retired from Parks and Recreation as a maintenance worker of twenty-five years. Barrett was a member of Kharizma, a local band in the Kansas City area where he remarkably played the trumpet.
He leaves to cherish his memory: one son, Marcus Berry (Rashetta Josenberger); one granddaughter, Marcyus Phillips; three bonus daughters, Ronisha Amerison (Jonathan Sr.), Ray-Shawn Bogart and Rometta Horn; five bonus grandchildren, Jonathan Jr., Rhaya, Raleah, Ria and Sophie; former wife, Vanessa Bogart-Nichols; one nephew, Randy Nichols; two nieces, Raven Nichols and Tasha Nichols; a host of other relatives and friends.
