Beatrice F. Smith, 58, was born on November 11, 1960 to the union of James O. and Viola Smith in Independence, Missouri. Both parents preceded her in death.

Beatrice was a lifelong Independence resident and was educated in the Independence public schools. She was the owner and operator of Stepping Stone.

Beatrice was a faithful member of the Sheffield Family Life Worship Center. She was a very charismatic, energetic and was a outgoing person who loved her family. She was a faithful Christian and was considered a God fearing saint who loved the Lord.

She departed this life on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the home.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her mate, Nick Barber; two sons, Gabriel R. Smith, Kansas City, MO and Richard Randall, Pikeville, NC; two daughters, Chastity Smith, Kearney, MO and Alexzandrea B. Randall, Overland Park, KS; four brothers, Bill Davenport, Pat Paxton, Robert McPhael and Michael Paxton; step-brother, Earl Phillips; two sisters, Linda Kemp and Raylene Fangman; step-sister, Hettie Phillips; a host grandchildren, nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Monday, September 23, 2:30 p.m. at Sheffield Family Life Center. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation 2:00-2:30 p.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
