Obituary

Bertha White, 67, was born August 12, 1950 to Walter and Albertha White in Eudora, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents and eldest brother, Andrew Toney, Sr.

Bertha accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at Malachi Missionary Baptist Church. She attended East High School in Eudora, Arkansas. In 1966, she left Arkansas and moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she started work at Novell Luggage. In 1978, she began working at Wilcox Electric for a twenty-three years, then for Progress Electronics until she retired.

Bertha enjoyed bowling, especially on the Wii bowling games. She also enjoyed fishing, playing darts and watching the Syfy channel. Above all, Bertha loved spending time with family and friends. She was a very kind hearted person who, even as her health was failing, never complained or lost her sense of humor.

Bertha departed this life on June 24, 2018. She was loved by many and leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Mark Willis (Hortense) two grandchildren, Mark Willis, Jr. and Philip Willis; eight siblings, Robert Randolph (Thara), Walter White (Patricia), Albert White, Tom White, Lauraret Newkirk, Sally Burden (Raymond) Ocie White and Beatrice Williams; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
