Obituary

Betty Jean Nooner, 57, was born July 6th, 1962 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the union of LeAndrew Baker and Ida Mae Nober. She was preceded in death by her mom Ida Mae Freeman, brother Charles Baker and nephew Charles Antwan Jones, Sr.

In her youth, Betty was a student of the Kansas City Missouri Public School District. Betty had eagerness to serve and help others. She fell in love with the healthcare industry and became a Certified Nurse Assistant, spending over 25 years in this field.

Betty, later in life, married Terry Nooner, Sr. They shared many unforgettable moments together. One of their favorite spots to enjoy each other's company was Troost Lake "fishing". They loved to compete with each other in a good game of bowling. They also enjoyed worshiping and going to church together. They were married for over 15 years.

Betty gave her life to Christ at a young age. She believed in the power of prayer. Betty knew prayer was the key and would call on her prayer partners Cousin Eloris, Mary and Marta to touch and agree with her over different obstacles in life. You could always count on Betty to help others.

Betty loved to fish and cook. She was into fashion and even made her own jewelry and oils. Betty was the life of the party. She gave you a great show with her dancing and entertaining others. The social butterfly she was, her laugh was loud and hilarious. You could always count on a pleasant smile. Betty also loved to take road trips back and forth to Arkansas to visit family and friends.

Within the last year Betty begin experiences health complications, which lead to her death. She departed this life on November 6, 2019 at the home.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Terry Nooner, Sr.; five children, Kevin Baker, Karryan Baker, Talisha Baker, Larita Baker (Quentin Garrys Sr.), and Willie Baker (Latosha Elbert); father, LeAndrew Baker, Sr. (Christine); three brothers, John L. Buckner, LeAndrew Baker, Jr. (Yvette), Tomey Baker and baby sister Debra Jones; thirteen grandchildren, Brittney Baker, Briana Jones, Kaleo Richardson, Chontez Davis, Brandon Franklin, Jr., Bryan Franklin, Rah'mya Crooks, Dekari Nevels, Willie Baker, Jr., Malachi Baker, Martez Jones, Quentin Grays, Jr. and one bundle of joy on the way; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, November 16, 11:00 a.m. at Charity Church. Private disposition. Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
