Betty J. Randall, 64, passed away on June 24, 2017 in Columbia, Missouri. She was born April 19, 1953 in Silver City, Mississippi to John Henry Simpson and the late Rosie Mae Randall. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Georgina Randall; two sisters, Angela Randall and Deborah Randall; and an aunt, Maggie Hardin. Betty was educated in the public schools of Chicago, Illinois and she attended Lucy Flowers High School. She relocated to Columbia, Missouri where she worked for McDonald until her health began to fail in 2014. Betty was known for helping others, and would always go above and beyond when needed. She was the life of her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Hozie L. Randall and LaShone V. Gates; one daughter, Angelina Gates-Moses (Cedric); her father, John Henry Simpson; four brothers, James Randall, Steven Randall, Joseph Randall and Renard Simpson; three sisters, Shirley Norris, Donnie Simpson and Gilda Simpson; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 1, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel.
