Beverly Ann Gibson, 54, was born March 24, 1962 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the sixth of nine children born to Leon and Dorothy Gibson. She was preceded in death by her father, Leon V. Gibson, Sr.; brother, Kenneth Gibson and both grandmothers. Known as 'Bev' or 'Bebop' by her family and friends, she loved to talk, joke and have a good time. Even when Bev was having difficulty breathing she would still talk on the phone for hours and have you laughing the entire time. She was a very loving mother who doted on her daughters all the time. Bev graduated from Southwest High School in 1980 and went on to work in Environmental Services until her health made it impossible to work. Bev was baptized by Rev. Julius Rambo at an early age and attended Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church. On March 20, 2017, Beverly took on the wings of an angel to go home to be with her heavenly father. Bev leaves to cherish her memory: her daughters, Mikhayla La'Trece and Monjhanae La'Shaye; her mother, Dorothy M. Gibson; three brothers, Leon Jr. of Minneapolis, MN, Eugene and Gary both of Kansas City, MO; four sisters, Bonnett, Evelyn, Chelle and Teresa all of Kansas City, MO; special friend, Iva Wright; sixteen nephews and nieces, twelve great nephews and nieces, several uncles and aunts, and a host of cousins. other family and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 25, 1:00 p.m. at Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Brooking Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the church.
