Bobbie Jewell Pounds, 70, passed away on November 23, 2017 at Truman Medical Center. She was born February 1, 1947 in Gould, Arkansas to Edmond and Mary B. Pounds. Both parents, a brother Vernon Dale, and two sisters Dorothy Johnson and Lucille Pounds-Mathews also preceded her in death.

Bobbie accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Bethel Pentecostal Church. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service and The City of KCMO for over forty years.

Bobbie was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. She loved spending time with her family and friends whether she was at a family gathering, playing cards, crocheting, or her favorite place the Casino.

She leaves to cherish her memory: four daughters, Margaret LaJoy Pounds, Marjorie LaNette Pounds-Allard, Rosaline Marie Pounds-Poole, and Ronda Monique Lockett; special niece, Sonya (Apple) Farley; brother, Willie Pugh (Dorothy); two sisters, Shirley Richardson and Mary Jones (Artis); seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and a host of special nephews, nieces, aunts, cousins, and friends.
