Obituary

Bobby Franklyn Roberts, 87, passed away on October 16, 2019. He was born in Boonville, Missouri on April 6, 1932 to parents, Robert Coleman and Zella T. Johnson. He accepted Christ at an early age at St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Boonville, MO. His parents preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by a daughter Bobbie Roberts, son Kenneth Roberts, and sister Anna Maria Johnson.

Bobby was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School District. He later entered into the United States Army where he was later honorably discharged for his service. Bobby was an employee for 40 years at Harris Picture Gallup Company, where he was a professional custom picture framer.

Bobby was also the eldest member of the American Legion Post for 57 years as the Commander and Chief. He was a professional pool player, one of the best in Kansas City, receiving multiple 1st place trophies and plaques. Bobby loved cars, music, skating doing magic tricks and sports, especially KC Chiefs amongst other things that he was good at doing.

He is survived by his daughters, Charmin Patton, Rosie Roberts, and Keyetta Roper; sons, Keith (Lois) Roberts and Charles (Pastora) Roberts; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other family and friends.

Funeral services Monday, October 28, 10:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
