Brenda Lee Baker, 61, KCKS, passed away on May 22, 2018 at the home. She was born March 9, 1957 in Kansas City, Kansas to Clifford Hancock and Archie Mae Templeton. She was preceded in death by her father and her husband, Aron Baker, Jr. Brenda accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of Shalom Missionary Baptist and served as a caregiver in the nursery.

After graduating in the first class of Schlagle High School in 1975, she attended Kansas City Kansas Community College majoring in Social Work. On May 7th, 1979 Brenda was united in holy matrimony to Aron Baker, Jr. and they shared thirty-one years together.

Brenda worked over ten years at ResCare of KC. Upon retirement she enjoyed being a childcare provider for her grandchildren. In her spare time she spent time hand sewing, interior decorating, yard work and listening to her favorite radio station, KLove.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Cedric Keith Baker (Chaconie); daughters, Rebecca Baker and Rashell Baker; mother, Archie Mae Templeton; brothers, Edward (Carla), Jimmie Templeton and Steven Templeton; sisters, Karen Templeton and Katherine Templeton; grandchildren, C.J. Morgan and Gracie Patton; grandchildren-in-love, Zarah and Lydi; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, June 2, 11:00 a.m. at Shalom Missionary Baptist Church. Private disposition. Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
