Buford Logan, Sr. (90) was born on February 18, 1929 in Scranton, Arkansas to James B. Logan and Shelia P. Logan. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Logan; daughter, Cheryl Sanders; (3) brothers, Lee Ray Logan, James Logan, and Joshua Logan and two sistesr, Helen Logan and Lela Jean Williams.

Buford was educated in the public schools of Scranton, Arkansas. He was married to Shirley Logan in 1973. He moved to Kansas City where he worked in the construction industry for over 23 years.

He loved to be in the outdoors and enjoyed fishing. He was a family man who treasured time with family especially his grandchildren until his health began to fail.

Buford departed this life on September 12, 2019 in his home with his wife by his side. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Shirley Logan of Kansas City, MO; sons, Buford Logan, Jr. and Stephen Logan, both of Kansas City, MO; and Kenneth Logan of Minneapolis, MN.; two daughters, Coleta Logan and Dorleta Logan both of Kansas City, MO; one brother, Harold Logan (Tanya) of Boonville, AR; four sisters, Pauline Webster of Springfield, MO; Mary Ellen Ellenburg and Christina Hawkins both of Scranton, AR; and Mary Elizabeth Thomas of Broken Arrow, OK; 16 grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, September 21, 2:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Private disposition. Visitation 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
