Obituary

Calvin Taft Berymon, 76, was born December 10, 1941 in Mangham, Louisiana to the late Henry Sr. and Cloteal Berymon. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Shelby Lee, Joseph, William, Henry Jr. and Millernese.

Following his attendance at Grambling, Calvin enlisted in the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. He later moved to Kansas City, Missouri and was employed with Armour Foods and Remington Arms for a number of years before retiring.

Calvin married Ms. Stella Jimmerson in 1973, and their union was blessed with two children and three stepchildren. He was a loving, caring and devoted father, grandfather, and friend. He had a heart of gold and would help do anything for anybody. He enjoyed cooking, fishing and hunting. Calvin departed this life on March 30, 2018 at St. Joseph Medical Center. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Denise Yancey (Victor) of Illinois, John Williams, Angela Williams, Terence Williams, Latanya Berymon, and Camela Berymon all of Missouri; stepmother, Gardenia Berymon of Louisiana; one brother, Lionel Berymon (Ruby) of Illinois; sister, Muriel Bryant (William) of Illinois and stepsister, Patricia Ward of Kansas City; his little boss and baby girl, Malik and Malaysia; sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; special cousin, Alfred Lee Robinson; special friend, Clyde Ward; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Thursday, April 12, 11:30 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Missouri State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
