Calvin Walker Taylor, 61, was July 28, 1957 om Forrest City, Arkansas to Decatur Taylor and Jessie Mae Ellis. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as Sylvester Ellis, Donald Taylor, Donna Taylor, Cynthia Taylor, Leotis Johnson, Henry Taylor and Patsy Taylor.

Calvin was educated in the public schools of Forrest City, Arkansas. He was employed as a welder at Intercon for many years until his health permitted him from doing so.

Calvin enjoyed dancing and watching movies. He was an avid fan of Michael Jackson and the Kansas City Chiefs. Above all, Calvin loved spending time with his family.

Calvin departed this life on August 5, 2018 at the home surrounded by family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all whose life he touched.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Calvin Taylor, Jr.; daughters, SaRonda Goday (Jose), Shaunta Patton (Martin) and Shanika Mitchell; siblings, Terrell Taylor, Albin Lee Taylor, Wallace Taylor, John Taylor, Jimmie Lee Taylor, Demetrius Taylor, Gurturde Vann and Essie Taylor; eleven grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, August 11, 11:00 a.m. at Christian Tabernacle Church of God in Christ. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
