Carl Fred Hill, Jr., 67, KCMO, passed away on May 4, 2016. He was born March 15, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to Carl Fred Hill, Sr. and Palmetta Williamson Hill Smith. His father and two sisters, Pamela Denise Hill and Diane Cecilia Hill preceded him in his homegoing. Carl was educated in Kansas City, Missouri, attending Blessed Sacrament School and was christened at Blessed Sacrament Church. He later united with the New Home Church of God in Christ, where he enjoyed Sunday School and fellowship with the saints over coffee and donuts. Carl served in the United States Army as a military police officer, January 25, 1971 and received an honorable discharge on April 13, 1972. He was an electrician by trade and worked for the Electricians Union Local 124 for over twenty years. Carl married Paula Holt and to that union was born one son, Carl Fred Hill III 'Chico' and daughters, Camille Yvette Austin (Deon) and Cherhea Meteika Frazier (Steven); He later married Sharon Caldwell and to that union a daughter was born, Catrice Lanae Hill and he inherited a bonus son, Robert Eugene Caldwell. All are left to cherish his memories. Fond memories will also be cherished by his grandchildren, Carl Fred Hill IV, Cannen and Cree Hill, Nickolas and Kristofer Moore, Donovan and Drake Austin, Jayda and Dallas Frazier, Dwight Johnson, Brittany and Robert Kavaughn Caldwell; two loving nephews, Vegas Hill (LaKisha), Andre J. Hill (Valerie); along with a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Monday, May 16, 11:00 a.m. at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Memorial services will follow at New Home COGIC at 1:00 p.m. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
