Obituary

Carlos Elywin Reams Sr. was born on February 21,1970, in Kansas City, Mo., to Madison and Mildred Reams. He was the

youngest of nine children. He was preceded in death by his parents; his uncles (Henry, Melvin, Brezell); his aunts (Gladys

Kearney, Eddie Mae Hunley, Dorothy Cashier, and Annie Mae Wade; two siblings, Barbara "Bobbie" Hunley and Charles Hunley; his niece LaToi "Nikki" Hunley; and his grand-daughter Madison "Madi" Reams.

He was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School District and graduated from Paseo High School. He was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, MO. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished family man. In November 1994, Carlos married Tanisha Vassol, and to their union they had four children.

Carlos worked many jobs through the years including Boyds BBQ, Fuzzy's in Westport, City of Kansas City MO Water Services, City of KCMO Public Works, MODOT, and most recently Kansas City Electric. Carlos was known for his sense of humor, work ethic, firm opinions, and exceptional cooking skills. He possessed an extraordinary ability to fix and restore anything, as he approached every task with patience, precision, and pride. Carlos believed in showing up for family and friends to lend a helping hand. He'll always be remembered for engaging everyone in spirited conversations and for his funny euphemisms. He would often be heard saying "You gon do what you told", "Be Smarter than the tools you use", and the infamous "Hey Chap!".

Carlos leaves to cherish his memories: Tanisha Reams (wife) KCMO, his children; Porschea Mutamba (Aaron), Carlos Reams

Jr., Ajanae' Reams, and Lacy Reams, all residing in Kansas City, MO. His remaining siblings; Micheal Hunley KCMO, Sondra Anderson (Jim) KCMO, Billy Reams Sr. (Sharon) TX, Shirley Gaddy, KCMO, Sandra "Faye" Reams Jefferson (Lawrence) AR,

and Madison Reams Jr, KCMO, Charron Raynor KCMO, & Bilena (Louis) Green Lithia, FL; grandchildren: Za'Niyah, Carlos III, Isaiah, Ace, Zyaire, and Carmen; surviving aunt, Ruby Bishop, KCMO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
