Carole J. Steward, 70 of Kansas City, MO passed away Monday, December 20, 2021.
Ms. Carole Jean Steward was the last child born to Leon and Barbara Chism on June 24, 1951, in Kansas City, MO.
She was preceded in death by both parents and her two eldest brothers Walter Chism and Ronald Chism.
Carole was raised in a Christian household and accepted the Lord as her savior at a young age. She graduated from Central High School and worked at numerous factories throughout the years to support her children. Carole's last job was plastic sales where she worked up until she suffered her stroke.
Carole was a loving and generous sole who took pride in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved crossword puzzles, listening to old R&B and Motown songs. You could catch Carole at any given moment jamming to Aretha Franklin.
Carole enjoyed going thrift shopping with her son Kevin, loved the lord and praised him up until the end.
Carole leaves to cherish her precious memories three children: her son Kevin Chism (Stacy), daughters Jacqueline Steward Mclarty (Stephen) and Sherrie Steward. 11 grandchildren: Rania, Dania, Kevin, Daniel, Devin, Kaylee, Brianna, Ashley, Jaden, Jade, and Javon. 12 Great-grandchildren. A sister Brenda Morrison (Tracy) and a brother Michael Chism. A plethora of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 5111 Harry S. Truman Dr., Grandview, MO 64030. Visitation 11:00 a.m. – 12. Interment Twelve Gates Memorial Gardens.
