Cecil White, 69, KCMO, passed away on July 5, 2016. He was born January 18, 1947 in Enid, Oklahoma to Alex White, Sr. and Fannie Lee White. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Macklin; brothers, Kenneth Harris and Ronnie Norfleet; and sisters, Irakay Thomas and Donna Moore. Cecil accepted Christ at an early age. He relocated to Kansas City, Missouri in 1950, where he attended Central High School. Cecil was employed by the Kansas City School District for thirty years and by Kansas City Public Works for ten years. Cecil enjoyed fishing in his leisure and could often be found talking on C.B. Breaker Breaker 1.9. He also had a passion for restoring antique cars. He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, LaWanda Davis; ten siblings, Alex White III (Althea), Ernest Banks (Naomi), Floyd Harris, Michael Norfleet, Tony Banks, Cleaster Harris, Roberta Norfleet, Lena Wright, Brenda Clemons and Marvina Parker; eight grandchildren, Brent Briggs, Dexter Goode, Alexis Coleman, Jordan-Davis, Juaquan Herron, Ronnetta Gause, Nicole Tharp and Crystal Burnette; two special sisters-in-law, Essie Rucker Sneed and Elna Smith; special friend, Doris Waller and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 16, 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a,m. at the church.
