Obituary

Charlene Carter 71, of Venus Texas transitioned from this world on Sunday, August 29, 2021. She was born on November 15, 1949 in St Louis, Missouri to Henry and Myrtle (Burnett) Taylor. She was proceeded her in death by both parents, three brothers; Johnny "Bear" Taylor, Luke Taylor, Henry Taylor, one sister; Diane Williams, husbands; William Sandidge Sr. and Tank Williamson; one son; Eric Carter and one daughter Cynthia Carter. Charlene accepted Christ at any early age and was baptized. She received her education in St Louis, Missouri. Later she moved to the Kansas City area where she received her college education. She served as a nurse at various hospitals in the Kansas City Metro area for over 25 years. Then moved to Arlington, Texas in 2013. She enjoyed playing cards, singing in church, reading, shopping, dining out and cooking for her friends and family. She also loved to attend church and sporting events. She leaves to cherish her memory; a daughter Ebony Sandridge-Karim(Muhammad) of Venus, Texas. Step children Troy Sandridge (Cheri), Linda Sandridge, Carl Michael (Shenel),Kevin Sandidge (Juanita), Amy Gee (Carl), Jerome Sandidge, Robert Sandidge (Sheila), Marquail Brown. Two brothers Matthew Taylor and Walter Taylor, Four sisters Mentoria "Minnie" Jackson, Angela "Amy" Dudley, Cheryl Taylor, and Linda Wilkins (Joe). Seven grandchildren Elecia Carter (Tim), Eric Carter, Krishaunda Carter, Evonte Carter, Jahid Karim, Jabril Karim and Jasir Karim along with great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces other relatives and friends. Special friends Vivian, Belinda, Malcolm and Joyce Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Visitation 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Interment Blue Ridge Lawn Cemetery. Services provided by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors.
