Charles David Johnson, was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and mentor, who departed this life on February 6, 2025, at the age of 56. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. Charles was born on January 2, 1969, in Rowher, Arkansas. He was a cherished member of both his family and community, and a proud graduate of Delta High School in 1988, where he played basketball. Charles Later moved to Kansas City Kansas and met the love of his life Sharitta Calhoun Johnson, they married on November 27th of 1999 although they were married 26 years they were together for 35 years and raised 4 boys and two girls and helped care for their grandchildren. Charles worked for Aero Transportation for 30 years where he retired. Once he retired he did part time security work for gataesals, Nebraska Furniture Mart and Dt GX. until he wasn't able to work anymore. Charles was Known for his infectious smile and passion for cars, Charles often spent hours working on them. His unwavering support for his loved ones and his ability to brighten anyone's day made him a truly remarkable individual. He touched the lives of many through his work and the relationships he fostered, leaving a legacy that will continue to inspire. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Mose Johnson and Alberta Freeman; maternal grandparents, Mary A. Freeman and Lloyd Freeman; paternal grandparents, Mose Johnson and Priscilla Union; his brother, Mose Johnson Jr. III; sisters, Mary Ann (Charles) Calvin and Rose(Stanley) Simpson; his son Antione Doran; sister-in-law Jean Johnson; brother-in-law Michael King; niece Keyanhna Johnson; and nephews Jerry Lindsey Jr. and Jeffery Mose Lindsey. He is survived by Wife Sharitta Calhoun Johnson; His Daughters Destiney Johnson and Shameka Phoenix; His three sons Charles Watson, Kevone Doran, and Mack Calhoun; 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; all of Kansas City Kansas. His two brothers, Moses (Enza) Abellera of Kent, Washington, and Larry Johnson of Kansas City, Kansas; seven sisters:Shirley (Derrick) Austin of West Park, Florida, Georgia (Shepard) Washington of Whitehall,Arkansas, Ruth Ann Johnson of Kansas City, Kansas, Carolyn Coia of St. Joseph, Missouri, Kattie Johnson of Kansas City, Kansas, Angela Johnson of Kansas City, Kansas, and Anita Kingof Fayetteville, North Carolina. He is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews,cousins, and many friends who will miss him dearly. Charles's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
