Chester Clarence White ll, 76, passed away on May 1, 2018. He was born November 17, 1941, in Kansas City, Kansas to Chester Clarence, Sr. and Ethelene White, who both preceded him in death, along with brother, Harry James Riddick.

Chester was educated in the Kansas City, Kansas School District and furthered his education in law and social work. He later enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he was an advocate for at risk veterans, youth and others in the community.

Chester accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, and was a member of Swope Parkway Church of Christ. He loved singing and was a member in a band where his position was second bass. He also enjoyed performing at local events. When in his presence you could expect a good laugh, a good meal, words of wisdom and a warm smile. Chester will be dearly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Shauna Gates of Atlanta, GA, Chester Clarence lll of Kansas City, MO, Amelia (Tavares) Clark of Kansas City, KS and stepdaughter, Patrice Gates of Grandview, MO; grandchildren, Donovan, Ashley, Drey and Amber Gates all of Atlanta, GA, Spirit Gates of Kansas City, MO, Terrell, Tony and Thomas Clark all of Kansas City, KS; special cousins, Betty Griffin and Rodena Thatcher; and a host of other family and friends.
