Chief Apostle Hubert
Mcdonald
Sep 8, 1949 — Jun 22, 2023
Chief Apostle Hubert McDonald was born on September 8, 1949, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Estella Banks and George McDonald. During his early childhood, he relocated to Kansas City, Missouri where he established his permanent residence. On June 22, 2023, Hubert peacefully passed away, transitioning to his eternal home with The Lord. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Estella Banks, George McDonald and Gertrude Coleman (sister).
The divine work in Hubert McDonald's life commenced at a tender age. As he grew into adulthood, Hubert embarked on a journey into ministry under the guidance of Mother Elizabeth Tinsley, the esteemed pastor and founder of Sacred Room Mission. For twelve years, he faithfully served under her mentorship, eventually rising to the position of assistant pastor. In 1997, together with his wife, Barbara McDonald, he established Evangel Spiritual Temple, which is now recognized as EST International Ministries.
Hubert's impact on the community was extensive and diverse. His endeavors included assisting teen parents, single adults, and married couples. He hosted a radio show, established a childcare center for low-income families, and provided vital support such as food and clothing to those in need. His compassion was so profound that he would even give away the very clothes he wore. In recognition of his remarkable contributions, Hubert received the esteemed Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award in 2018. Known for his ever-present smile and cheerful personality, Hubert McDonald endeavored daily to exemplify God's love to his family and everyone he encountered. He lived by his favorite motto: "think good thoughts, do good deeds." He will forever be remembered as a loving and patient teacher, a kind and forgiving man, and an individual who wholeheartedly loved Jesus Christ. His life serves as a profound testament to God's remarkable work on this earth.
Hubert is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara McDonald, and his four children: Charles H. McDonald Sr. (LaTonda), Corey E. McDonald (Erica), Tamika C. McDonald, and Armond' V. McDonald, Sr. (LaKisha). He is also survived by his four stepchildren: Anthony McGaugh, Sr., Tanis McGaugh, Steven White, and Frank White. Additionally, he leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, as well as his siblings Lilly Robinson, George McDonald, Hattie Rozell Carolyn Fleming, Nieces, Nephews, extended family, and friends. He will be deeply missed, yet his memory will be cherished and honored by all who knew him.
