Christine Jackson's Obituary
Christine Jackson, 68, passed away August 16, 2019 at the Kansas City Hospice House. She was born on December 6, 1950 in Newark, New Jersey to Joseph and Rosa Lee Jackson. She was preceded in death by both parents; grandmother, Elizabeth Days and sister, Jean of Louisiana.
Christine was educated in the public schools of Newark, New Jersey. She then moved to Kansas City, Missouri in July of 1975. Christine had a gainful career with the Internal Revenue Service, where she worked as a data transcriber from 1987-2009.
Christine accepted Christ into her life in 1983. She was baptized at Gethsemane Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor J.B. Randolph, founder. Christine was currently a member of Hosanna Missionary Baptist Church.
Christine had a bright, yet calming spirit. She gave the best advice, the best hugs and had a smile that would brighten up any room. Christine loved shoes, collecting and receiving crystal figurines, traveling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sisters, Charlene Jackson-Brim (Grady) and Nancy Jackson; step-daughter, Katrina Warren; granddaughter, Cynai; special friend, Carl Combs; nephews, Kaseem (Yodie) Al-Torek, Darrius (Marlicia), Jamaal, Clayton, Da'Quan and Devin; nieces, Fatima (Keith), Cree (Nate), Alnisa, Conswaila, Kai, Kaili and Ayana; a host of great nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services Saturday, August 24, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Private disposition. Visitation 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
