Christine "Tina" Morton, aged 53, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away on August 10, 2024.

Christine was born on June 23, 1971, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Jane and James Morton, Sr.

Christine lived her life the best she knew how and left this earth wishing nothing but peace, love and joy to all those she knew. Everyone who has ever had the pleasure of being in Tina's company knows she knew God very well and referred to the scriptures for daily guidance in her life.

She was a cherished individual known for her kind, loving and caring nature.

While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering.

Christine is survived by her partner of 27 years, Leslie Watkins; her brothers, Charles Cogbill, John Cogbill and James Morton, Jr.; alongside her sister, Jackie Morton; and her daughter, Charity Jane Morton.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Morton; her father, James Morton, Sr.; her brother, Julios Cogbill, Sr. and her twin sister, Earnestine Morton.

A special thank you to Pastor Joel Kurz for accepting her as part of your church family and to her entire Bethlehem Lutheran Church family. We would also like to thank all of the nurses and the hospice team that tended to her during her final moments.

Christine Morton, a beacon of kindness and love, will forever reside in our hearts. The legacy of her kind and compassionate nature will continue to inspire and guide us. As we grapple with the loss of her physical presence, we find solace in knowing that her spirit lives on through the joy and love she instilled in us.
