Clara D. Wilson, 68, was born February 19, 1949 to the union of Cleo Sr. and Betty Jo Wilson in Monroe, Louisiana. She entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Serenity Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Michael D. Wilson and her mother Betty Jo Wilson.

Clara confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Monroe, Louisiana and was baptized by the late Rev. William R. Ellis. Clara was blessed with two loving sons, Michael D. Wilson and Joey Wilson.

Clara moved with her family to Toledo, Ohio in September, 1971 where she joined Bethlehem Baptist Church. Later that year she started her career with AT&T and was a dedicated employee for over 30 years. After relocating to Kansas City, Missouri she joined Memorial Missionary Baptist Church. Clara's warm smile showed love and concern to everyone she came in contact with. She served as a faithful member on the Shepard's Staff and she was a member of the Noon Day Bible Study, the Women's Ministry. She also served on the Prayer Ministry. Clara remained a faithful and committed member until death.

Clara leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Joey Wilson; two granddaughters, Jazmynn and Joey Wilson; one grandson, Jalen Wilson; father, Cleo Wilson, Sr.; three brothers, Cleo Wilson, Jr., Larry Wilson (Mary), and Barry Wilson (Amanda); two sisters, Barbara Whitlock and Linnie Kessee (Ralph) and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
