Mr. Clarence E. Bussey Sr. left those he loved peacefully in the care of Hospice House of Saint Lukes on January 27, 2018 in Kansas City, MO at the age of 64.
Clarence is survived by his mother, Mable Lee Bussey Kansas City, MO; wife, Wanda Kay Bussey; son, Clarence E. Bussey Jr. (Alby); siblings, Dora Downs, Sharon Smith (Robert) , Cedric Bussey (Tracey), Carlet Monroe (Thurston) of Kansas City, MO. He is preceded in death by father, Earnest Bussey, sister, Emma Lee Hill, of Kansas City, MO.
Clarence was born on January 15, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri to Earnest and Mable Bussey. He graduated from East High School in 1972. He married Wanda Kay Campbell August 5, 1972, they dated since they were 15 years young. During and after enlisting in the Army National Guard, Clarence began working for Missouri Gas Energy. In the many positions that he held at the gas company he retired as their Facilities Manager. The couple welcomed a son into their lives and Clarence set about teaching him the value of being an honest upright man for his family. Clarence Jr. remembers him as a kind, gentle, patient, driven father who encouraged him to pursue his goals.
Clarence was a proud grandfather of Jayda Watson, Clarence W.E. Bussey III and Carson Bussey although he and Wanda were concluding that Jayda would be their only grandchild, but after returning from a cruise they were surprised with the news of CB3 and not long after were informed about Carson. He was a witty and dedicated individual who loved to travel and who was passionate about taking care of his Wanda and his mother, enjoying good music and grandkids.
His memory will be cherished by his wife for 45 years, Wanda Kay Bussey; his son, Clarence E. Bussey, Jr.; daughter "in-law", Alby A. Bussey; 3 grandchildren, Jayda, CB3, Carson; four siblings Dora, Sharon, Cedric, and Carlet and a host of uncles (especially Marshall "Buddy"), aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Funeral services Saturday, February 3, 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.Visits: 0
