Clifton McCutchen III, 24, received his wings on December 31, 2018. he was born on October 14, 1994 to Carla Johns-Rone and Clifton McCutchen, Jr. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Clyde William Robinson, Clifton McCutchen, Sr. and grandmothers, Rozetta Johns-Rone and Elvira McCutchen.

Clifton attended the Kansas City, Missouri public school district, graduating class of 2014 from East High School. He furthered his education at Manual Technical School, where he received his certificate in Culinary Arts, and also furthering his culinary skills attending KCK Community College.

Clifton being the youngest male of five siblings, he was affectionately known as "Snug". He was a lover of everything sports related and received many awards pertaining to the game. He enjoyed skateboarding, playing video games including Anime.

Clifton's passion for cooking guided him in his employment to work in well known restaurants in the Kansas City area, which included McCormick and Schmick's, Fogo De Chao, Lydia's and The Well.

Clifton's love for God, family and friends was genuine. He shared his love and loved life freely, openly and willingly. His loyalty to God and family was unwavering. Beyond his big smile was an even bigger heart whose capacity to love and see the good in people was greater than any hate could destroy. Hopefully this legacy of love he leaves with us will be carried on by countless others he has left behind and whose lives were changed because of him. We love you, "Snug"

He leaves to celebrate his love: his parents, Clifton McCutchen, Jr. and Carla Johns-Rone; siblings, Keyla Childress, Michael Dilworth (Tarenda), Rafael Dilworth and Takeyla McCutchen; grandfather, Arthur D. Rone; nephews, Kevontae Childress, Michael M. and Christian Dilworth; a niece, Keyla Childress; his fiancé, Victoria Williams and a host of aunts, uncles other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Wednesday, January 9, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Blue Ridge Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
