Obituary

Comelia Walker, 89, KCMO, passed away on June 3, 2016. She was born May 29, 1927 in Dalton, Missouri to James Preston Fristo and Ruth Bernice Burton. Her parents and a daughter, Tanyaneeka Gibson preceded her in death. Comelia was a graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1944. She accepted Christ as her Savior and has held memberships at both St. Stephen Baptist Church and Cleveland Avenue Baptist Church. She was employed as the Assistant Director of Respiratory Therapy for K.U. Medical Center. In 1948, Comelia was united in marriage to James William Walker who also preceded her in death. She was very soft spoken and quiet spirited, but most of all she will be remembered for always presenting herself as a lady. She leaves to cherish her memory: four sons, Tony Walker, Marland Walker (Carol), Juan Paul Walker (Donnie) and James Brown; two daughter, Susan Bostic and Carmen White (Timothy);eight grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, two cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 7, 11:00 a.m. at Lincoln Cemetery. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
