Connie Kado Troy, 72, passed away on August 14, 2019 at the home. She was born January 11, 11947 to the union of Adam Kado, Jr. and Doretha Johnson in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the eldest of the "Kado Clan". She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, and cousins.

Connie attended the Baton Rouge, LA and San Diego, CA school districts. She met and married Henry O. Troy on April 23, 1966 and became a housewife. That union resulted in four children.

Connie was a devoted member of Swope Park United Methodist Church and as the years passed, she became a member of the Historic Centennial United Methodist Church. She worked diligently on the hospitality committee. She also devoted her time to her noon bible study group, always making sure to feed them while reading the words of the Lord.

She leaves to cherish her memory: three sons, Cornell Allen (Zita), Tracy Troy, Keathen Troy, and her only daughter, LaToya Cooper (Juan); siblings, Patricia Wansley, Ronald Kado (Barbara), Chris Kado, and Richard Kado; three grandchildren, Tierra Allen, Jordon Allen, and Joia Carter; one great granddaughter, Jordyn Allen; special friends who she considered family, Pat Pitre, Lisa Henry, David A. Gilmore, and many more; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins whom she cherished dearly.

Funeral services Saturday, August 24, 11:00 a.m. at Centennial United Methodist Church. Private disposition. Visitation 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
