Cornelius 'Cornbread' Williams, 48, KCMO, passed away on April 22, 2016. He was born February 10, 1968 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the first of three siblings born to the union of Harvey and Louella Williams. His mother and his brother, Dana Roman both preceded him in death. Cornelius grew up in Kansas City and attended school in the Kansas City Missouri School District, graduated from Southwest High School in 1986. He later became a barber, working in his community faithfully. Cornelius was a member of Gospel Tithing Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. F.L. Jordan. The family later united with Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. W.O. Owens. He leaves to cherish his fond memory: a loving daughter, Rian Williams of Des Moines, IA; his father, Rev. Harvey Williams, Jr. of Kansas City, MO; brothers, Joseph D. Behn of Las Vegas, NV and Paul K. Williams of Kansas City, MO; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends who loved him. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 30, 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.
