Curtis Gene Sherman, 77, of Kansas City, Missouri, was born on August 9, 1942 to James R. Sherman, Sr. and Sara B. Sherman of Kansas City, Missouri. His parents, sister Beverly A. Sherman and daughter Laveda Sherman preceded him in death.

Curtis attended Lincoln High School. He was always a hard worker having many jobs over the years including the Kansas City Zoo and General Motors in Kansas City Leeds Plant; Muncie, Indiana; Indianapolis, Indiana, and Olathe, Kansas from which he retired after 33 years of dedicated service.

In his pastime, Curtis loved to play cards and taking photos. He also enjoyed classic cars and motorcycles.

Curtis departed this life on October 23, 2019 at the home. He will deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include two brothers, James R. Sherman, Jr. of Kansas City, MO and William R. Sherman of Los Angeles, CA; one sister, Doris Y. Thomas of Las Vegas, NV; sons, Curtis G. Sherman, Jr.(Joyce), Jay Johnson, Ronnie Sherman, Justin Sherman; two daughters, Toni Jones (Henry) and Kym Bonwell; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
