Curtis Tony Tillman, 79, KCMO, passed away on August 27, 2016. He was born August 31, 1936 in Collin, Georgia to Rudolph Tillman and Lola Surcency. His parents and brothers, John Tillman and Rudolph Tillman, Jr. preceded him in death. Curtis was educated in the public schools of Reidsville, Georgia. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and later served as a local minister throughout his lifetime. He was passionate about preaching and sharing the Word of God with others. Curtis was employed at Bartle Hall as a cook until retiring in 2007. He also found much pleasure in preparing a good meal for himself as well as family and close friends. When not cooking or preaching, Curtis loved traveling and shopping in his leisure. He leaves to cherish his memory: the love of his life, Amy Morgan-Tillman; step-daughter, Amy Morgan-Okai (Nii); extended family, Mark Morgan (Tammy), Earl Morgan, Myrna Hall (Johnny) and Sylvia White; siblings, Wallace Tillman (Malinda), Jim Otis Tillman (Mary), Charlie Tillman, Barbara Jean Richardson (Willie), Christine Tillman and Drucilla Cross; special friends, Pastor Adrian Mindenhall, Lisa Duson, Delora Powell-Perkins, Mildred Thompson, Linda Robinson, Thomas Glover & family, the Richardson and Turner families, and a host of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 6, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Blue Ridge Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. at the chapel.
