Damar Lamone West, 38, passed away on November 12, 2018. He was born April 30, 1980 in Kansas City, Missouri to Aaron Mott and Cherie West. He was preceded in death by his father and paternal grandparents. Damar attended Southeast High School and later received GED in Cameron, Missouri. He was a fun-loving person who loved and adored his mom. As his mom's only child, he would do anything for her and she would do the same for him. They had a very special relationship.

Damar loved being with his family, especially the vast number of male cousins who he looked up to. He was a very strong willed, determined individual. Damar will be sadly missed by his entire family.

Damar leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Cherie West; grandparents, Kenneth and Charlene Dilwood; uncles, Harry Lounce and Julius Bunn; aunts, Patricia Lounce, Brenda Hughes, Cynthia Pauley, Pamela Bunn, and Courtney Shephard; a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services Friday, November 23, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
