Damond D. Haynes, 38, entered a new life on August 2, 2016. He was born August 23, 1977 to Jeffery R. Robinson and Gladys M. Haynes in Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Barbara Robinson, and Raymond and Eula Haynes. Damond was baptized at Good Samaritan Church at an early age. He was educated in the Grandview School District and graduated from Ruskin High School. After graduation he attended job corps in Clearwater, Utah and received his certificate in building & maintenance (carpentry). Damond was a very hard worker. His employment history included work for Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation and Balls Manufacturing in Kansas City, Missouri, and Kellogg in Kansas City, Kansas. Damond had such a big, big heart and loved helping everyone. He had a great love for his family and above all, his nephews dearly. He enjoyed sports (his favorite team being the Kansas City Chiefs), playing cards, dominoes, cooking, family gatherings and most of all, he loved the Lord. Damond also had a lot of love and respect for his coworkers and friends at Kellogg. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Myesha Banks-Haynes; father, Jeffery R. Robinson (Rosalind) of Raymore, MO; mother, Gladys M. Haynes of Kansas City, MO; three brothers, Mario Haynes (Lori) of Kansas City, MO, twin brother, Andre Haynes of Honolulu, HI and Curtis Wilson of Shawnee, KS; two sisters, Shay Martin (Anthony) and Curtrice Wilson of Alpharetta, GA; a host uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, other family and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 13, 11:00 a.m. at Second Baptist Church of Independence. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.
