Danisha LaShae Allen, 26, was born February 16, 1990 in Kansas City, Missouri to Lela Allen and Donald French. She was preceded in death by her grandfather James H. McKinney, Sr.; three aunts and a cousin. Danisha was educated in the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was a member of Christian Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Elder Keith Newton. Danisha was employed at Taco Bell, but her true passion was in cosmetology. She taught herself to do hair and nails, often extended her services to family and close friends. Danisha genuinely loved her family and shared a special bond with her son. She was known to defend those of them who couldn't defend themselves. For that, she will be deeply missed. Danisha departed this life on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at her home. She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Thomas Daniel, Jr.; mother, Lela Allen; father, Donald French; grandfather, Donald Parks (Sheila); brother, Davonne Banks; sister, Dionna Allen; uncles, L.C. Allen (Kenya) and James H. McKinney, Jr. (Ashley); specials aunt, Lisa Carrol and aunt, Shelia Allen (Sullivan); special cousins, Ashley, Kaycee, Dell, Dre, and Donita; cousins, Christine, Roshonda, Ratrice, L.J., L.C. III, and Marquan; special friend, Anthony; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 4, at 11:00 a.m. at Bannister Road Baptist Church.
