Danny Ray 'Scooby' Beverly, 34, KCMO, passed away on December 9, 2016. He was born June 23, 1982 in Kansas City, Missouri to Cassaundra Marie Beverly and Danny Ray McIntosh. He was the eldest of four children. His great grandfathers, Cecil Whitley and Jessie Beverly; great grandmother, Ida Mae Patterson; grandmother, Lillian Page; sister, Julia M. Meeks; twin brothers, Alvin Meeks and Albert Meeks; and a special cousin-like-brother, Arthur Dawkins all preceded him in death. Danny attended Melcher Elementary School and De La Salle Genesis School, and later earned his GED. He previously worked for Harley Davidson and was more recently employed in the construction field rehabbing properties. Danny loved music, often spending countless hours rapping in the studio, writing poetry and drawing. He was an amazingly talented artist. A big kid at heart, Danny was always smiling and ready to be a jokester. He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Danyche R. Beverly (and his mother, Danielle Houcks) daughter, Danyea' J. Beverly (and her mother Nikkia R. Goldsby); mother, Cassaundra Meeks; grandfathers, James F. Beverly, Sr. and Howard Hill; grandmother, Julia Hill; uncles, James Beverly, Jr., Patrick Beverly (Janele) and Larry Wright; aunts, Sheila Walker and Carmelia Beverly; cousins-like-brothers, Adrian Beverly and Terry Beverly; four great uncles, three great aunts and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Sunday, December 18, 1:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Private disposition. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the chapel.
