Darla Renee Cooley, 59, was born May 20, 1957 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the youngest child born to LeRoy and Lucy Bell Counce. Both parent preceded her in death as well as her siblings, Beverly Whitmore, Linda McKamey and LeRoy Counce, Jr. Darla accepted Christ in her life at an early age and graduated from Southeast Senior High School. She married Charles Cooley on February 14, 1987. Charles also preceded her in death. Darla loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, and writing on everybody's Facebook page. Her beautiful personality and smile lit up the room and she always loved to give everyone a warm hug. Darla peacefully departed from this life on September 9, 2016, in her home. She leaves to cherish her memory: five children, Natasha Counce, Jereaca Buford, Rufus Curtis Glenwood-Childress Black III, Consuella Cooley and Deshawn Hinton; three brothers, Clarence (Delilah), Rondell (Sharon) and Glenn (Lasharon); three sisters, Elizabeth Washington, Juanita Word and Ava (Ted) Jafferis; fifteen grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins and friends.
