Darryl Glenn Franklin departed this life October 26, 2020. He was born on February 27, 1962 to Lawrence Whitley & Frances E. Trosper. He was preceded in death by his mother Frances E. Trosper, a brother Anthony franklin and his only child Mandy Brown.

Darryl affectionately known as "Big Dog" was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School District and was also a Private in the United States Army. He accepted Christ late on in life and attended church often.

Darryl began working at an early age. Known as "Big Dog" because of his very "BIG" personality and willingness to always give a helping hand to family and friends with moving and various home projects and he was very dedicated to whatever task he would undertake. He had a heart of gold and a smile that would light up a room.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Wilhelmina Y. Jeter; his father Lawrence Whitley (Betty); two brothers, Brian Franklin and Willie "JuneBug" Franklin; three sisters, Cordelia "Marie" Bostic, Rita franklin and Rosaline "Tina" Franklin; two grandchildren, nieces, nephews a host of relatives and close friends.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, December 02, 2020 Graveside at 12:30 pm. Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery. Private disposition. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
