DaShawn L. Fisher, 33, was born on June 20, 1987 to the union of Gary Hopkins and Lisa Fisher in Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Marvin Fisher and Wilbert Dillahunty, two sisters, Royonna Fisher and Shante Hopkins, three uncles, Arthur Gilmore, Patrick Hopkins and George Lepat'e and aunt Erna Fisher.

DaShawn was educated in the Kansas City Missouri public schools. She furthered her education at Penn Valley Community College where she obtained her CNA certification.

DaShawn was affectionately known as "Sha Sha" was a fun, loving and sweet person who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a devoted mother and aunt. She loved to sing and dance. She shared her talents and made many friends as a child while attending Operation Breakthrough.

She departed this life on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 in Leavenworth, Kansas.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Jamari Brown, D'Miere Handson and De'Shaun Handson; fathers, Gary Hopkins and Rodney Perkins; mother, Lisa Fisher; grandmothers, Ocie Fisher and Clara Wilbur; five brothers, Rodney, Ta'Rod, Jacob, Jimmy and De'Marius; four sisters, Rashaunda, Keyonna, Janice and Victoria;favorite cousins, Shannon, Deandre and Keosha, a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020, 11:00 a.m. Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Service conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
